Trying on Your Dream
Creative Business Planning for Psychosynthesis Coaches
Building Your Practice from Purpose to Manifestation
Purpose & Vision ~ You want to make a difference
You entered psychosynthesis coach training in response to your call of the self.
Now as a coach, it is time to create, plan and offer your service, and products – to bring your own ‘genius’ – your voice, skill and experience – your unique value proposition – into the world.
You have something important to share – but what, where and how to begin?
The challenge is: how to get from here to where you want to be
It can be fun and creative to explore ideas and possibilities to express and achieve your purposeful vision. It can also be overwhelming to sort through all the options and to get stuck in uncertainty: the paradox of choice!
Or, you may have been holding tight to an existing idea or plan that is not be unfolding as you had hoped, and are now not certain whether or how to stay-the-course or pivot.
Manifest your Practice Vision: Creatively & Practically
Trying on Your Dream guides you along the stages of the act of will, offering a framework to creatively manifest your practice vision.
As you anchor into purpose, you step into deliberation, to choose, and affirm the ideas that are right for you.
You begin to access and develop ‘business of practice’ skills and resources to make choices that are in alignment with both the personal and transpersonal path you are creating for work and life.
You are then more prepared to determine the best ways to plan and take action to bring your choices to their full potential into the world.
Craft a path to successfully bring your coaching practice into the world.
Our creative business planning program for psychosynthesis coaches is an entrepreneurial approach that combines the practical, concrete aspects of conventional business planning, with the more inventive, innovative and intuitive, aspects of creative thinking.
The program’s framework is a synthesis of models, tools and resources from design thinking, imagineering, entrepreneurship training and business development.
An entrepreneurial, experiential approach to the business of practice
This experiential, creative approach to business development and entrepreneurship has emerged from the lead facilitator’s, Susan Jewkes Allen, 20+ years of successfully developing entrepreneurs, and supporting entrepreneurial ventures.

We plan to make our first initial offers of this program, to our graduates and current students.
For future coach training cohorts, this program will be offered at the time of coach training enrollment as an add on.
We also plan to offer this program to a larger coach community and will build a facilitator team to expand this program’s reach as we also pass-the-baton to a new generation.
Stay Tuned and Stay in Touch!
A Note from the Facilitator: Susan Jewkes Allen
Welcome!
This program: Trying on Your Dream, for psychosynthesis coaches has been my own dream since the first imaginings of launching Synthesis Center San Francisco in collaboration with The Synthesis Center.
My work-life entrepreneurial journey has been a wild and wonderful ride. Lots of failing forward, some flops, some filps and a few expeceptional successes.
All of it, regardless of circumstances, has been meanigful and worthwhile.
Running a private practice or any business can be hard – sometimes very hard and uncertain. It takes time – alot of time – and requires not only skill as a practitioner, but business savvy and an entrepreneurial spirit.
It is also profoudly rewarding, creative, and inspiring. It offers autonomy, meaning and a path to take full responsibility and charge of your life and work.
So, if you experience the call to explore and build or revision and grow your coaching practice join me for Trying on Your Dream!
“You must never doubt your ability to achieve anything, overcome anything, and inspire everything, because the truth is, there are no superheroes. There is just us, and too often we are the ones that we keep waiting for.”
~ Shiza Sahid
Dream, design and do…imagine the possibilities, tap into your inner and outer resources to choose, affirm the way forward, plan how to take the steps, and go forth in carving your path in creating your own life and work, with good, strong and skillful will.
Here’s to the journey!

You can read a snapshot about my entrepreneurship and business programming experience in the bio below.
Trying on Your Dream: Entrepreneurship and me
Entrepreneurship, creativity, helping and service have been part of my earliest influences and have permeated my life and work.
While my beginning professional career was as a clinician, therapist, teacher, in the world of non-profits, health organizations and academia, I was always creating my own entrepreneural ventures – and there were many.
Some did not work out, including a recycling venture in high school that resulted in 3 basements full of empty soda cans and a drain on my tiny bank account in order to have them all hauled away to the dump 🙁
And, later in life, a collaborative innitiative to set up a healing center failed dramtically because I had not sufficiently researched the zoning regulations for our leased building.
And others, thank goodness, were wildly successful in different ways: allowing creativity to manifest or providing significant financial rewards, or making a difference in helping/healing/service. And, sometimes the magic happened…and some ventures fulfilled all of these components: everything, everywhere, all at once!
Including:
- Setting up a part time consultation practice in my early twenties so I could accept payment for a small (very small $200) project with the Canadian government. Over many years, this grew into so many opportunities, that as a solopreneur I needed to form collaborations and partnerships to meet demand – resulting in projects ranging from of a few thousand to multi-millions of dollars.
- A part-time private psychotherapy practice, while not my main income source, grew into a meaningful and personally/professionally fulfilling aspect of my work-life portfolio for almost 20 years, as I continued to do consulting while raising two sons.
- A senior partnership in a boutique entrepreneurship education and development consultancy resulted in the ongoing creation of a dynamic experiential model for business development to support economic self-sufficiency in communities that faced barriers and a lack of access to opportunities – from youth, to non-violent offerders in the criminal justice system, women, immigrants and many others.
We faciliated our programs in more than 20 countries, supporting all types of small business entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship educators, with support from international financial institutions and national / local governments, NGO partnerships, and educational institutions including, the the Inter-America Development Bank, CUSO, USAID, the World Bank, governments of The Netherlands, Bahamas, Canada, Sweden, Bangladesh, Nazare, Portugal, Ghana, South Africa, Venezuala, Sri Lanka, the United States and more!
- For the past 15 + years, now back in the US, my focus has been in building a practice as a work-life /career transition coach. My practice grew, largely via word-of-mouth offering me the opportunity to work, with diverse clients, including:
solopreneurs, small business owners as well as founders/co-founders/leaders, primarily in the technology space, as well as those in creative and helping/healing ventures.
Creative business planning, informed by my years developing entrepreneurship curriculum and faciliting programs
- And now, my core focus is as the founder of Synthesis Center-San Francisco offering coach training in partnership with The Synthesis Center, Amherst – and with a new initiative focusing on psychosynthesis for social transformation, innovation and self development.
Informed by all these experiences and in mapping out a strategy and succession plan to pass-the-baton to a new generation of psychosynthesis coaches, facilitators and teachers, it is exciting to bring this creative business planning program to you, psychosynthesis coaches wanting creative, practical and effective tools for launching and / or growing their practices.
